About us
Bharatiya Sahitya Pratishthan
Where Literature Meets Culture, and Unity Finds Its Voice.
Bharatiya Sahitya Pratishthan is a distinguished literary and cultural organization founded in 1998 with a vision to create a vibrant platform for literary discussions, nurturing Bharat’s unity and celebrating its rich cultural diversity through literature. The founding leadership comprised Dr. P. V. Vijayan as President, Dr. A. Aravindakshan as Secretary, and Dr. N. Mohanan as Treasurer. The organization was formally inaugurated by the eminent critic Dr. M. Leelavathi on 26 January 1998 at the Youth Hostel Auditorium, Thrikkakara, Kerala.
In 2020, the Pratishthan was registered under the 12th Travancore–Kochi Literary, Scientific, and Charitable Trusts Registration Act of 1955. Since then, it has expanded its scope, supporting academic institutions, bridging the gap between Indian languages, and promoting cultural integration through Hindi literature and translations. Our publications stand as a testament to our academic and intellectual contributions to language and literature, particularly Hindi. Alongside our literary mission, we are deeply committed to instilling values in the younger generation and fulfilling our social responsibility by extending a helping hand to those in need.
